I got a new computer!! YAAAAY!!!

It's a laptop, actually.

My old desktop computer is nearing 7 years old and only has like 512MB of RAM lol. It was starting to get really frustrating to use; browser constantly being overloaded and crashing, being told I'm low on virtual memory within 20 minutes of launching Photoshop, not being able to stream anything on YouTube higher than 360 ~___~

But those days are OVER! :D

Now I remember why I rarely read Kpop news sites...

Earlier today I was listening to old 90s Kpop (♥) and went over to YouTube to watch some music videos. As I was watching one of Fanclub's videos I thought one of the guys kinda looked like the guy Harisu married a couple years ago. I couldn't remember the either guys' names so I Googled Harisu and Wikipedia answered my question—they aren't the same guy... I should've stopped there. I never really followed Harisu or anything, but I would occasionally see some news about her and since I hadn't heard anything about her in a while, out of curiosity, I clicked on a link to an article about her on a Kpop news website. Big mistake. I was honestly SHOCKED by how transphobic the article came off; it was absolutely deplorable. Still, the article had nothing on the comments. I know, freedom of speech and all that, but... at least the author of the article could've shown a bit of decency and used the correct (legally sanctioned!) pronoun!!... *SIGH*

Let's all go to the lobby, let's all go to the lobby...

Saw the new Transformers movie today. I enjoyed it more than the 2nd movie, which just seemed like a rehash of the plot of the 1st movie to me. I feel like this time around they at least tried to think up some new plot elements.

During the previews there was a trailer for a movie called Abduction which seems like an interesting premise, but it stars Taylor Lautner and he is SO not a good enough actor for the role. There was also a preview for Real Steel and all I could think was "They made a movie based on Rock'em Sock'em Robots?!?!?!" Ridiculous.

Before the previews start they always show random commercials/ads and there was actually one for Torchwood on Starz which was just......It was so strange to see something for Torchwood in the theater in my little town. I get the feeling I was probably the ONLY person in that theater room who had any knowledge about that show prior to the commercial XD ...Which, I guess, is why they need the commercial in the first place, huh?

I'm not writing this from the great beyond, I swear.

OMG Look! I'm not dead! XD

Last weekend I decided to stop being lazy and finally clean my room...But it already looks like a mess again after only a week -________-;;;; ...Maybe not quite as bad as before, but still.

Have I moaned mentioned before how much I HATE summer in Florida? IT'S SO HUMID AND HOT ALL THE TIME. It can get downright MISERABLE DX. But, somehow, inexplicably, I am actually a bit cold right now. Granted I'm indoors in the air conditioning, but the temperature on the A/C isn't any lower than it normally would be any other day, when I'd have to make use of one or two small fans to keep my room cool (hottest room in the summer and coldest in the winter, lucky me). Right now, though, I'm having to use a blanket to keep my legs/feet warm. But, hey, I'd rather be cold than hot...

The past couple weeks I've been on a big OPM kick. I've been listening to sooooo much Sponge Cola XD. I think they're probably my favorite Filipino music artist, that I've heard so far anyway. And I wanted to find a download of Hale's first album cuz I realized the handful of songs I have by them (which I really like!) are from that album, but it's hard when their band name is "Hale" and the album is also called "Hale" lol. Searching "Hale Hale" isn't really getting me anywhere :/. Also, for the longest time the only song I'd ever heard by Chicosci was "Promise" so I finally got around to checking out more of their songs on Youtube, but...meh. None of the ones I listened to really attracted me like "Promise". Maybe I was just listening to the wrong songs? Or I'm just not open to new never-before-heard music at the moment? I get like that sometimes—ALL I want to hear is music that I'm REALLY familiar with and anything new is just... UGH.

I've been keeping a log of all the weird/funny/stupid calls that I get at work...I'll get around to typing them up eventually, then you can share in the lulz.

He was in that??

I just realized that Andrew Garfield was in not one, but TWO episodes of Doctor Who! And Carey Mulligan was the lead character in the Doctor Who episode Blink, which is a fan favorite that I have watched several times. How did I never realize this?? I wonder if there are other currently or soon-to-be internationally famous actors who have also appeared in Doctor Who in the past and I just never made the connection? Hmmm...

Face Off

Connor?! Connor won?!?!

I thought for sure it was going to be Tate or Gage! I thought their final projects were more...fully realized(?) than Connor's. Yes, Connor's make-up/prosthetics were good but I don't think he portrayed the "haunted" theme AT ALL. There was nothing "haunted" about the scene he created. With Tate's scene you got that it was set in a post-apocalyptic world, with Gage's you got that it was set in a sort of industrial wasteland. Connor's was just in the woods with a castle in the far distance. What's haunted about that?

I should've gotten some when I was out yesterday...

Last night I fell asleep at like 7:30PM and didn't get up until 7AM this morning XD.

Unfortunately, I woke up with my allergies RAGING ~_____~. And the only allergy medicine we have in the house is this stuff that has absolutely NO EFFECT on me :(. I need some Benadryl, stat!
